Team Plaid
What if ALL types of cancer were detected early?
Imagine how many lives that would save.
I became a Cancer Warrior when my breast cancer was detected by a routine mammogram.
In the two years since I completed treatment, and released my book Cancer for Christmas: Making the Most of a Daunting Gift, I’ve met hundreds of cancer survivors. Listening to so many amazing stories of courage and triumph, I came to one conclusion:
I’m beyond pink – I’ve gone Plaid!
Welcome to Team Plaid.
Team Plaid is not just about breast cancer – it’s about finding early detection for all cancer: lung cancer, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, lymphoma, liver cancer, ovarian cancer, and every other Attack of the Cancer Troll.
One of the organizations I learned about while writing my book is The Canary Foundation. Their goal: A world where simple tests identify and isolate cancer at its earliest most curable stage. Early detection. Canary in a coal mine.
Team Plaid is in! Click the linked Canary Foundation logo, and make a donation – you’ll be in, too!
By the way, I know that the ribbon I’ve created for Team Plaid looks like the worst pair of golf pants you’ve ever seen. It’ll only get worse as I kick off campaigns for one cancer after another, and add colors to the ribbon. But here’s the good news: supporting Team Plaidmeans that you can help make the plaid ribbon fade away. Support early detection, help make it available for all cancers, make the bad golf pants disappear!
